How Government Regulators are Crippling America's Growth - By Lance Winslow

Most people believe that the business regulations which are put into place are done so to help the consumer and the public from unethical business people and for fraud. Well, it turns out that many who work in the government actually believe this, as does most of our population.

Unfortunately, the reality is that most government regulation in industry and enforceable on to businesspeople is put there because one particular business wanted to stop their competitors, and wanted to have a monopoly in the sector. Therefore, they call up their local politician whose political campaign they are constantly funding, and explain that a new law or rule is needed.

And any time a citizen, or consumers group complains about a certain industry or particular Corporation, that corporations sends their lawyers over to join in the rulemaking committees in our government. They make sure that whatever methods they use in their business become the new standards, and anyone doing it any other way is to be enforced and regulated.

The more the consumers complain the better it is for the corporations because they are directly involved in all the rules and regulations as they are being made in our government. Consumers think they are doing everyone a favor by getting more rules and regulations on businesses, but all they are really doing is preventing competition in the marketplace from startup companies that might compete against the big Corporation which has been around for a while and has all the right political connections.

Therefore, all the people who think they are doing good are being used by the people who are doing unethical things. And all the rules and regulations are manipulated by the unethical folks, against the good business folks.

This is how government regulators are crippling America's growth, stifling competition, and it is also how the consumer groups are making things much worse than they ever dreamed of. It is often amazing to me how come folks haven't figured this out, Adam Smith warned us about this over 200 years ago. Wake up people.

Government is not alone in facing this challenge, of course. In the private sector, the retirement of skilled workers has contributed to chemical plant explosions and airline maintenance problems.Since the financial crunch is so pervasive, and real wages have fallen so far over the past 30 years, people wonder what they're going to do with savings – retirement funds, or college funds for their kids? Some people are taking to financing the start of retirement or college funds outside of savings. However, take heed that Medicare and Social Security are plagued with problems, and can’t be counted on forever – so it may be a good idea to start retirement funds with some personal loans.-debt relief

Sure, it is a huge issue. In reading "Futurecast" by Robert Shapiro and some of Ken Dykwald's stuff, you can see that the aging population of the baby boomers is an issue. Worse, it's not that so many baby boomers really want to retire, some have to due to health, others are being pushed out the door.

But still this over-regulation is a huge issue, and just wait as the economy gets ripping again. We will have shortages everywhere of people. And small business unable to fill the gaps due to all the barriers to entry.
