Socialism Rocks, Yah Right? by Lance Winslow

It seems that many Americans are so willing to embrace socialism, but that would be a very dangerous mistake to continue to take our nation in that direction. As one wise man once said; "If you think health care is expensive now, just wait until it's free!" Yes, socialized medicine to fix Medicare or take care of our current Social Security government run Ponzi Scheme, will be a disaster.

Oh, you do not think that Social Security is a Government Ponzi scheme, well let me explain, and you are going to ask yourself why we put Madoff in prison once I do. You see, right now money is collected out of everyone's paycheck and given to the government, which they then spend. What do they spend it on? Whatever they want, it does not go into a fund or a special bank account. They spend it on whatever.

All the while they promise us that they will take care of us when we get old and thus, we continue to let them take it out of our pay. There is no social security fund. The government has no savings, they use debt spending to run the government right now. They don't have any money, and whatever you give them goes for whatever, not your retirement account.

Basically, social security, well in reality it is the definition of a Ponzi Scheme; collect money from people and promise them a return later, when you don't have it and never will, because you spent the money keeping up the façade of deceit. All the while hoping that in the future you'll get some money to pay everyone off, but this has like Madoff, gone on long enough.

Socialized Medicine, Social Security, it's all just more socialism and how are we doing so far? Not very well, but it is not just us. Germany, a socialist nation has over 20% poverty according to an in depth report; "The Poverty Atlas" published by ParitAtische Gesamtverband and written about in Time Magazine (June 2009 – "New Report Reveals the Depth of German Poverty"):

"To many on the outside, Germany looks like a big, rich country enjoying the benefits of being Europe's largest economy. Inside, Germans know that looks can be deceiving. As in any nation, parts of Germany suffer from poverty, and Germans have always assumed they knew which parts: the west is rich and the east is poor. But a new report reveals the truth isn't that simple."

Socialism does not work, it never has in all of human history, why this younger generation wants to promote it is beyond me, other than they want everyone else to pay so the government and Obama Administration can give them the "free stuff" that they have been promising. Well, when something sounds too good to be true, it probably is!"

Social Security was implemented by the Franklin D. Roosevelt administration as a safety net, never intended to be all one should rely on. As a result of the "great depression" Capitalism revealed inherent flaws and the FDR administration was pressed to do something to conserve Capitalism.

FDR was the great conservator- promising enough in order to calm the masses.

The captains of industry were becoming revealed as vulgar manipulative speculators and many smaller con men took note and ran their own scams with a good conscience.

Scams- flim flams- getting over- became the way to make it- the more recent Wall Street speculators investing in hedge funds, futures, short sales, derivitives-debt, etc. are just a logical consequence of a free market system.

Is there a better system or way- probably- will this way become realized any time soon? unlikely. Can it- sure- will it-no.

So what will be the correction to get this economy on the right track where there can be more winners and losers again? I don't know.

There are people out there making lots of money- people who can afford to pay other people hundreds of millions per year- so what is the problem- is it that there are less people with enough money or credit to purchase consumer goods, high ticket items- yes this is one problem.

How to free credit once again- but people need decent wages to pay for the credit and the interest rates. Jobs of course, but in what industries?

Green jobs? Ok what Green jobs ? Technology- perhaps another tech bubble awaits us down the line?

Too many people are flooding the job market looking for living wages. How dare people expect a wage that would afford them life.

Most of us are born with everything- but we immediately learn we have nothing- until we can produce something that the market place can exploit for profit.

Any invention that can be billed or sold is what is considered genius.

Free stuff- the free stuff we have was given at birth ( of course without birth defects)
lungs, eyes, ears, mouth, nose, internal organs, heart, kidneys, legs, feet, arms hands- all we need but we have nothing until we can produce.

One must be taught they have nothing and better learn how to get something.

We learn that we are burdens that we cause debt- the apparatus named memory developed out of a sense of debt- to remember we owe- owe what? owe not only in fiscal terms but in emotional terms. We must always remember our debts.

Since I am of Irish decent- I may feel free to express the joke: Irish Alzheimers- We forget everything but the grudges.

We remember all the hurts and bad feelings- regardless of being irish, most of us have problems letting go- but this is quite explainable as our memory is an apparatus that owes part of it's development to the concept of debt.

Debt, Owe, limits, sin, penance, pay back are all related.

We poor lost creatures- no wonder Mark twain stated the human animal is the only one that blushes or should.

Of course Nietzsche had much to say regarding this as well, but for now I am getting tired of utilizing that poor lost soul- perhaps another day I will bring him back out.

i will end with a quote from a Bob Dylan song"... She has everything she needs she's an artist she don't look back."

Looking back is debt- memory- a true artist crteates and does not look back- However an artist needs to eat and other things so perhaps the only true artist left belongs to the animal kingdom other than human.

Those that don't blush.
