The Religious Liability

Originally published at ihopeyourehappy.com Religion was very interesting in this election cycle, and it gets more interesting every campaign year. Obama had Reverend Wright, McCain had ultra-conservatives that were intolerant bastards. Mitt Romney had the unquantifiable Mormon thing. All of this was an issue because their religion wasn’t acceptable to a voter demographic. The candidate wasn’t one of “them”, whoever the “them” happened to be. And don’t e… Continue

Fairness Doctrine

Originally posted at ihopeyourehappy.com The fairness doctrine is on the minds of Democrats in Washington, and it is time to give my fair and objective criticism of the idea. Seems reasonable and responsible. I often see earmarks as a way to buy votes. Think about the bailout, it didn’t pass on the frst round… Continue

More data on financial meltdown. 21 million jobs created during Clinton's presidency, 3 million during Bush's. If you would like to help create some jobs, consider donating a few dollars to… Continue

Sarah Palin Continues to Talk about Stuff

In CNN today, Sarah Palin criticized the media of taking statements out of context to “create adversarial situations” and “erroneous and often outrageous leads on a variety of non-issues.” She continued in the statement, “As a public official, I expect criticism and I expect to be held accountable for how I govern. But the personal, salacious nature of recent reporting, and often t… Continue
