Of Morons, Minotaurs, and Muppets

Of Morons, Minotaurs, and Muppets I once quipped that if all the members of Congress doubled their IQ’s, they would still be morons. Enter Sam Brownback (R-KS) who, on July 9th, along with Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA,) introduced Senate Bill 1435, "Human-Animal Hybrid Prohibition Act of 2009." Brownback, a Christian fundamentalist and young-earth creationist, is obviously doing his part to help keep God’s creatures from mixing with, well, you know, God’s creatures. Herb, thanks for your kind words about my health care blurb. I love the point you make about health care being not a right but a duty of government.

Earlier today I stumbled upon an op-ed written by none other than the CEO of Whole Foods, who argues that since the right to health care isn't mentioned in the Constitution that it simply doesn't exist. Why not bypass the whole rights argument altogether and focus on the duty that We the People have to support the citizenry?

I sweated bullets writing about health care as a right to address the question posted by my conservative friend. Maybe I needed to reframe the debate altogether!

Well Herb-welcome. The Movie Network? Forget about the Howard Beale dialogues and listen carefuly to Ned Beatty's dialogue regarding means of exchange-i.e., Money, It is money that rules everything, not countries- countries are only names and illusions empty names designating nothing.

People still today get so worked up over nationalism, patriotism; what a pity. As if Countries go to war- It is money that goes to war.

Some people actually believe countries exist, what a pity-

Read my post "Us vs Them" and once again welcome.
